Trinity Methodist Church, Kimball, NE

August 13, 2014

Trinity United Methodist Church stand at 305 East Fourth Street, Kimball, NE (date of construction and architect yet to be determined). This “Greek cross” plan with all its interior corners chamfered wasn’t common, but I can think of two examples in both suburban Chicago and in Mississippi. The Chicago version was an A-A A-1 type, but this one appears too small to accommodate both auditorium and Sunday School. If anyone is travelling through Nebraska, stop in and give me some advice.

PS: The Western Contractor for 08 September 1915 announced plans “in prep” for a $10,000 building.
