“Trinity Church” somewhere in New England

April 13, 2015

VTpittsford

The person auctioning this image has listed it as being in Pittsford, VT. The front reads only “Trinity Church,” so we have to presume a message or postmark on the back that includes that information. Google.maps shows Pittsford as only a township with hardly enough density to warrant such a large building as this. “Trinity” in the name could connote an Episcopal congregation, though the A-A style was rarely used by them. It could also be Methodist, however, which gives me a tenuous lead. If anyone recognizes this building, please lend a hand in identifying its location. The Romanesque is more “revival” than “Richardson,” so I’d place the date around 1900.
