Methodist Episcopal Church, Canandaigua, NY

June 17, 2015

history-of-church-4-1 The exterior of First United Methodist church in Canandaigua, NY exhibits all the bells and whistles of Akron-icity: corner entry, radial Sunday School, etc. But the interior (which I have not yet seen) was altered following a fire in 1961. Fortunately, this interior photograph shows the original appearance when the church was dedicated in 1903. The center aisle runs from S.E. to N.W., connecting the radial seating of the auditorium sanctuary with the comparably radial Sunday School and breakout spaces. Architect as yet unidentified. 064
