Gaston Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, PA

Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia seems to have had a church on each corner for several blocks of its run across the city. Unfortunately, the site of Gaston Presbyterian at the southeast corner of Lehigh and 11th Street is currently a vacant lot. Its “Akronicity” is attested by this pair of images (one from eBay; the other from google) showing what was likely a D-1 type.

Philadelphia has proven to be a rich resource for A-A church, far more than I would have suspected.
