Congregational Church, Norway, ME

March 26, 2016

Enthusiasm often gets the better of me. I haven’t won this card yet but New England examples are so rare I couldn’t resist.

Norway boasts three Congregational churches, but my money is on the building at Main and Paris streets. The roof plan and corner entry tower are compatible with a D-type sanctuary, and the Sunday School bump (bustle?) works with the location of the movable doors. Notice that these roll up.

“DSAP” in the center of the card is Dave Sapienza, an eBayer I know very well. Hope he doesn’t mind me jumping the gun. Technically, this image isn’t mine.
