First Methodist Episcopal Church, Lincoln, NE

August 20, 2016

Lincoln was blessed (in my opinion, at least) with four amazing A-A churches: St Paul’s (downtown); Grace (on the west side but demolished); First (near Nebraska Wesleyan University); and Trinity.

While there is a postcard image in the database, this interior panorama (borrowed from the website of Ganzel Group Communications) illustrates the classic relationship between auditorium and Sunday School — which is split at the left and right extremities of the image. It was built about 1909 from plans by local architects Woods & Cordner.
