Evangelical United Brethren, Baltimore, OH

This black-and-white RPPC evens out the color of Baltimore, Ohio’s EUB church. The upper brick is a burnt orange; the bottom, an iron-spot purply-brown. I might have used one or the other. Next time you’re driving past the corner of Market and Walnut streets, make your own judgment call.

The Evangelical United Brethren joined with Methodist-Episcopalians to form the United Methodist Church in 1968. Consequently, the UMC in many communities may have had EUB origins and the name simply changed. But long before the merger, the United Brethren were sympathetic to the A-A type; this Ohio church is a case in point.
