Presbyterian Church, Sapulpa, OK

November 19, 2016

As an OU undergrad during the 1960s, I passed through Sapulpa now and then. It added variety to frequent trips between Norman and Tulsa, and later I discovered a few Bruce Goff buildings in that neighborhood. Tragically, I hadn’t yet become interested in the Akron-Auditorium phenomenon.

Oklahoma statehood in 1907 occurred during a boom period of massive in-migration and infrastructure building. So one might legitimately expect a high percentage of A-A churches throughout the state.
