Methodist Church, Durham, NC

Southern churches were far more interested in a plan variation I call “saddlebags” because the Sunday School rooms are hung on the auditorium on one, two, three, or even four sides. This Methodist church in Durham, NC was built in 1925 (very late for Akron influence) by the Branson Memorial Methodist congregation. It became New Creation Methodist and is now on the market, almost 9800 square feet for $650K. That’s a little over $65/sq ft!
