Four in Kokomo

January 8, 2017

From top to bottom, these are Evangelical United Brethren, Grace M.E., Main Street M.E., and Main Street Christian. The last two are/were definitely A-A (see that bulging Sunday School on Main Street UMC?) and the other two may be. Of the group, only #2 and #4 are still with us. Main Street Christian is an exemplary work by Brown & Davis or Brown Burton & Davis from Cincinnati.

Anaïs Nin is whispering over my shoulder: “We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” I see Lou Kahn.
