Methodist Episcopal Church, Trafford, PA

January 27, 2017

On a per capita basis, Pennsylvania have a larger number of interesting A-A churches than most other states, but my taste in style may not be yours. Trinity UMC in Trafford, PA is a recent discovery and has become a favorite.

Sited on a steeply sloping site (downhill from the main street elevation) the educational wing is a full four stories, so there is no telling what may be going on inside. The style is a hybrid Gothic Revival-Arts & Crafts. It was dedicated in 1924 — late for the A-A — and cost $75,000.
