Built in 1906 from plans by architects Eisenbrant, Pattenger and Colby, First Presbyterian in Auburn, Nebraska is still serving. Its National Register nomination confirms the presence of  “other features of an Akron Plan church.” The breadth of meaning ascribed to that phrase — “Akron Plan” — doesn’t settle the question: the view from the far left shows a clear Sunday School wing of an A-B-a-b- type.
