Woodlawn Park M.E. Church, Chicago, IL

Woodlawn Park M.E. was located at 64th and Woodlawn Avenue on Chicago’s South Side (my part of town); the site is currently vacant, though google.maps doesn’t seem to know that. The corner polygonal element is common to many churches by the Crapsey-Lamm-Brown-Burton-Davis lineage. W.R. Brown did maintain a Chicago office in the early years of the 20th century, so he was at least in the vicinity and the city does have other documented buildings by him.

Incidentally, six blocks north, on the corner of Woodlawn and 58th, you’ll find Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House.
