Methodist Episcopal Church, Saint Peter, MN

February 17, 2017

Among my favorite topics is the career of 19th century draughtsman-delineator Harvey Ellis and the professional trail that he pursued through a half dozen architectural firms on the way to an early alcohol-induced death. Among those firms was the Minneapolis office of Orr & Joralemon, architects (of record) for the  Methodist Episcopal church in St Peter, Minnesota, built in 1897 and burned thirty years later. If you’re interested in O&J, Chuck’s Toyland is the place to look.
