Trinity Lutheran Church, Chambersburg, PA

May 28, 2017

The Lutheran church in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania is similar to a group of churches in another part of the state by J. C. Fulton—though I’m not making an attribution. There is also no guarantee that it had an Akron plan component; Lutherans adopted it infrequently, especially the Scandinavian synods. But the similarity with Fulton’s work encourages me to pursue its history.

The date of construction is unknown but it was replaced with a Collegiate Gothic building in 1929.
