Congregational Church, La Grange, IL

August 7, 2017

It’s been years, nay decades, since I was last in La Grange, so I do not recall this building at all. It stand, looking very much the same, at the corner of Cossit Avenue and La Grange Road. La Grange is a fairly prosperous inner suburb of Chicago, which I know solely because it has an early house by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Yes, this is FLlW—the W. Irving Clark house of 1892 is attributed to Wright and E. Hill Turnock. I’m putting my money on Frank. Look for Turnock’s work in Elkhart, Indiana.
